Roti Modern Mediterranean is adding a second DFW location

Roti Modern Mediterranean, a build-your-own wraps and bowls eatery, is expanding in DFW with a second location slated for University Park.

The forthcoming outpost will arrive in Preston Square at 8301 Westchester Drive this Friday. The Chicago-based company, operates dozens of outposts across Chicago, DC, and NY, and Roti’s other Dallas location in Uptown has served up rice bowls, salads, and wraps since spring of last year. At Roti, customers choose proteins like organic chickpea falafel, lamb meatballs, salmon, steak, or chicken, then top it off with pickled veggies, cous cous, hummus, olives, and feta cheese, plus sauces like tahini or tzatziki.

Roti’s expansion comes during an upswing of fast casual Mediterranean concepts in Dallas. Namely, Mamoun’s Falafel’s only outpost outside of NYC arrived in February, and there’s the continued expansion for the Halal Guys, which already counts five area locations with 10 more as the goal. Noon Mediterranean (formerly Verts) has been on the scene for years, and Dallas original Big Guys Chicken and Rice took over Deep Ellum’s halal niche left open by Amsterdam Falafel’s closure last summer. However, Amsterdam’s standout curry-infused ketchup paired with hot, greasy fries has yet to be duplicated.

Roti officially opens in University Park this Friday, October 12 and will operate 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
