Moxie’s Just Launched Its Late Night Dining Destination in Plano

It’s offering globally inspired dishes and inventive cocktails

Canadian export Moxie’s Grill & Bar just opened its third state-side outpost in Plano after debuting in Dallas’ bustling Uptown district last year.

The new outpost is located at 8451 Parkwood Boulevard, just a hop away from the Boardwalk on Granite Park development at the intersection of the Dallas North Tollway and Sam Rayburn Tollway. The brand, which was brought to Texas by Dallas Stars owner Tom Gaglardi, has already launched an outpost in Houston. In both Dallas and Houston, it’s landed on Eater’s maps for essential late night eats and dining with groups.

The Plano outpost features the sleek, modern interior found in other Moxie’s locations with an open kitchen and both high top tables and booth seating. The lounge area includes numerous TVs for game watching, and a handful of private event spaces are AV equipped.

The menu, created by executive chef Brandon Thordarson, features globally inspired dishes like Canadian poutine, “sushi cones” with tempura shrimp, fresh avocado, pea shoots, nori crisps, and sesame chili ponzu; potstickers, and a Thai-inspired curry bowl amongst its burgers, steak, fish, and chicken dishes. Moxie’s is doing something interesting with cocktails like with its avocado gimlet and a margarita infused with strawberries and ghost pepper, arguably the hottest pepper known to humans. Along with its regular menu, Moxie’s has an entire menu for gluten-conscious eaters, plus weekend brunch featuring omelets, pancetta bacon eggs benedict, and Sicilian sausage hash.

Moxie’s Plano location operates Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to midnight, open until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
