Slater’s 50/50, a California burger chain known for its bacon and beef burgers, will soon debut its second DFW-area location in North Dallas.

The restaurant is set to open at 11661 Preston Road in early October, joining the first location of Slater’s that opened on Greenville Avenue in 2017. Started in Anaheim Hills, California in 2009, the chain also operates numerous locations in Nevada and Hawaii alongside the Dallas outposts and a San Marcos restaurant.

For the unfamiliar, the menu at Slater’s 50/50 is largely burger-focused, with a variety of different patty sizes and proteins like bison, beef, and the famous half-beef, half-bacon blend on offer, plus plenty of toppings that range from the basic LTO (lettuce, tomato, onion) to Fritos, grilled pineapple, and roasted green chiles. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are on the menu, along with a lengthy list of craft beers and wacky topped milkshakes. Brunch offerings include bread pudding French toast, a chorizo breakfast burrito, and bacon Bloody Marys.

Slater’s 50/50 arrives in North Dallas on Saturday, September 29. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. until midnight daily.
