Pearl Cup Coffee, a Henderson Avenue original that vacated its high-priced hood for the ‘burbs several years ago, has just opened its second location in Plano as an integrated coffee and wine bar.
Pearl Cup Sip is the moniker for the new concept that just debuted at The Boardwalk at Granite Park. The living room-inspired space is housed within 1,300 square-feet, which features a dedicated wine bar and comfy furniture. Patrons can find an extra 800 square-feet of patio space facing the boardwalk and waterfront.
New owners, husband-and-wife team Mike and Farrah Yeager, brought over their favorite beverages from Pearl Cup’s Richardson outpost like the signature Pearl Latte, plus frozen Mexican hot chocolate, a mocha latte, and pour-over and French press coffee. There’s no definitive information on which wines the new venture is pouring, however photos posted to its Facebook page suggest that rosé and weekend mimosas are on deck. Sip will also offer an expanded food menu as compared to Pearl Cup’s other location. Diners can snack on sandwiches, salads, and loaded fries topped with ingredients like garlic, truffle oil, green chile, and cheese.
In the coming months, Pearl Cup plans to open another Sip location in Preston Hollow Village and an additional Pearl Cup Coffee location down the street from SMU at 6715 Hillcrest Avenue. Its first coffee-wine bar venture joins existing Boardwalk eateries The Biscuit Bar, Union Bear Brewing, Chip’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers and Hookline, plus two more restaurants set to debut soon, B. Frank & Relish and Edith’s French Bistro.
Pearl Cup Sip’s Boardwalk at Granite Park location is open at 5880 State Highway 121 and operates Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. 10 p.m.; and Sunday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
