Bartaco, a Connecticut-based eatery that serves tacos of all kinds, will open its first location in Dallas proper in the coming months.

A job posting to Craigslist indicates that the chain is currently hiring sous chefs to staff a location at 6140 Luther Lane. Earlier this summer, Escape Hatch Dallas reported that the restaurant would be taking over the space vacated by Kent Rathbun’s long-shuttered Blue Plate Kitchen. It’s the second DFW location for Bartaco, which made its local debut in June at Fort Worth’s WestBend development.

For the unfamiliar, Bartaco is known for its sprawling menu of tacos and rice bowls stuffed with ingredients from all over the world — think kimchi-topped ribeye tacos and duck quesadillas served with tomatillo sauce. On the cocktail side, the bar is stocked with 40 different types of tequila, including its own blend.

No word yet on when Bartaco will debut at Preston Center, but hiring generally means that an opening date is coming soon. Stay tuned for more details on the restaurant’s arrival.
