A new destination for booze-infused game watching called Woodtop Tavern has just debuted in Plano from the minds behind Turkish Cafe & Lounge.

The brand new sports bar is located at 8408 Preston Road within a 3,400-square-foot space that houses a full bar, kitchen, pool tables, a live music stage, and more than 30 TVs for game watching. Plus drinkers will find another 2,000-square-feet of outdoor space on the patio.

The bar serves up draft and bottled beer, wine, and cocktails. Drinkers can take advantage of daily happy hour specials like half-price margaritas on Mondays and $3 drafts on Wednesdays. As far as food is concerned, think typical bar fare: fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, nachos, spring rolls, and bruschetta for appetizers. Entrees include pizza and tacos, six kinds of burgers, chicken wings, grilled fish, and a 10-ounce New York strip steak.

“I love creating new concepts that are comfortable and inviting,” said owner Mehmet Shon Celik, who also owns the neighboring Turkish Cafe. “We’ve done exactly that with Woodtop Tavern. We want it to be your go-to neighborhood bar.”

Woodtop Tavern is now open and operates seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
