Shabro, a Carrollton restaurant known for its spicy, simmering all-you-can-eat hot pots, will soon open a second location in Frisco.

Filings with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts indicate that Shabro’s second outpost will open at 9144 Prestmont Place, Suite 200, joining newly-opened seafood spot Cajun Seafood and Chinese restaurant Dong Bo Sung. The Carrollton outpost of Shabro first opened in 2018, has quickly developed a devoted hot pot thanks to its perfectly-spiced broths and all-you-can-eat meat buffet.

At Shabro, diners start by choosing a soup base — miso, seafood, chicken, and traditional Chinese huo guo broth are options — and then choosing from a variety of different meats, including prime beef chuck, boneless short rib, chicken breast, lamb, and pork belly. There’s also a salad bar with plenty of veggies and other accoutrements, all of which can be added to the simmering pot of broth alongside the meats. An all-you-can-eat meal here costs less than $25 at dinner, but the restaurant does charge a $6 fee for each plate of uneaten leftovers at the end of the meal.

A post to Shabro’s Instagram account indicates that the Frisco location will debut in February. Eater has reached out for more details on its official opening date — stay tuned for an update.
