After closing its Uptown location this weekend, OMG Tacos has big plans to take over the restaurant formerly known as Tacqui in Richardson.

Owner Holly Nguyen tells Eater that the new OMG Tacos at 744 South Central Expressway will be three times larger than any of its predecessors. Nguyen and her team will also revamp the menu, with a focus on more of the Asian-Mexican fusion dishes that have earned the restaurant a loyal following. A full bar will be on offer, and like the original Richardson location, the newest OMG Tacos will be open until 3 a.m. daily.

The restaurant comes with decidedly less baggage than its predecessor, which Paul Qui opened in February 2018, just before he was set to face assault charges. Those charges were ultimately dropped, but Qui’s presence in Dallas didn’t last long — Tacqui closed its doors less than six months later at the end of 2018.

No word yet on when OMG Tacos’s new location will open. Stay tuned for an update.
