Eden Hill Vineyard & Winery just started pouring in the heart of the Big D, offering tastings, glasses and bottles of its Lone Star State wines at the Dallas Farmers Market.
The new tasting room sits inside the market’s Harvest Lofts (1011 S. Pearl Expressway). Operating hours are Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. and until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The family-run local winery and vineyard sits in Celina, about 45 minutes north of Dallas, and makes all of its wine from Texas grapes. Tempranillo grows on the 10-acre rolling patch of land it purchased in 2003, and the boutique winery currently produces more than 2,000 cases per year.
The tasting room plans to play host to live music, food and wine pairings and other events.
Its pours have won more than 50 awards, including two gold medals at the revered San Francisco International Wine Competition. Last year the winery picked up two more at the Lone Star International for its dry red, Aglianico Reserve.
