Drake’s, a throwback steakhouse that draws menu inspiration from old school Hollywood favorites like the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, will make its Bluffview debut next month.

The splashy 4,000-square-foot newcomer (5007 West Lovers Lane) is scheduled to open on Saturday, December 7, bringing caviar balancing on blinis and strong martinis to the neighborhood.

Drake’s comes from Vandelay Hospitality, the new restaurant group from East Hampton Sandwich Company and Hudson House’s Hunter Pond. He revealed the anticipated opening date on his private Instagram account in a post screen shotted by Eater:

The menu will be filled out by top-grade steaks, pizzas, cheeseburgers, French dip sandwiches, pasta dishes, and more classic American eats at “neighborhood prices,” although menu items and details still aren’t available yet. The plan is to serve dinner Tuesday through Sunday.

Cocktails will be inspired by those inside the swanky Beverly Hills Hotel — the legendary pink fixture that’s served countless celebrities since opening in 1912.

The retro aesthetic at Drake’s includes dim mood lighting, slick red and curved booths, velvet curtains, and a large circular bar and lounge designed to host live music. Pond is going for a “comfortable, yet sophisticated” vibe, honoring the scene-y Sinatra and Mick Jagger days of yesteryear with live jazz music on Thursdays and Sundays. Modern-day DJ sets will join the mix on Fridays and Saturdays.

Along with a brick exterior covered with graffitied swirls of red, artistic adds inside include framed black-and-white photos of tuxedo-wearing icons and images of chain-smoking chimps sipping vodka.

Update 11/26: Drake’s team announced an opening date change from December 5 to December 7.
