Hiccups Restaurant and Teahouse, a new spot slinging seriously over-the-top churro desserts and savory Asian dishes, officially opened its doors in Richardson this week in the same space as its sweet sister spot, Churroholic.
The snack-and-sweet shop made its debut on December 5 at 744 South Central Expressway in Richardson, about a year after the chain’s first DFW location in Frisco was announced back in 2018. The chain has been in expansion mode throughout the country over the past year or so, with restaurants in Houston and San Antonio joining more than a dozen Hiccups locations that are either open or in the works in California and Arizona.
As Eater reported previously, Hiccups boasts a truly wide-ranging menu of dishes and drinks. Diners can score savory options like crispy popcorn chicken (or tofu bites, for the vegetarians) and sriracha-drenched fries. A selection of pan-Asian favorites, including kimchi fried rice, pad Thai, and pho, is also on the menu. Boba teas are also a prominent fixture, with options like mangonadas and milk teas served in mason jars and Vietnamese iced coffee.
Like the Frisco location, Hiccups in Richardson is also home to sister spot Churroholic, which serves decadent sweets like churro sundaes with massive scoops of ice cream and large, loopy churros dipped in chocolate.
The doors at Hiccups & Churroholic open at 11 a.m. daily.
