Phoenix-based Sauce Pizza & Wine has officially opened its third Texas location at The Hill off Walnut Hill Lane and I-75.
The pizzeria already operates two DFW outposts in Irving and Prosper that sling fast-casual pies with toppings like chicken pesto, artichoke and mushroom, or prosciutto and fig. Diners can also find a spicy chicken sausage pizza with hatch green chiles and smoked mozzarella or the “lasagne pie” with spinach, mushrooms, ricotta, and meatballs. Other carb-laden offerings include varieties of bruschetta to start, along with several pasta dishes.
Those avoiding a carb overload will find soups and salads like the salmon-topped kale with black currants, cashews, farro, romaine hearts, and champagne vinaigrette. For dessert, diners will find tiramisu, gelato, and something called a “pizza cookie,” which is described as a half-baked triple chocolate chip cookie dough base topped with a heaping scoop of gelato. Drinks include wines on tap and from the bottle, local beer, sodas, and more.
Sauce Pizza and Wine is now open and operates Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
