DFW stalwart Cane Rosso fired up its pizza oven for the last time over the weekend in Fairview. The Neapolitan pizzeria chain closed its location at 148 Fountain Court on March 16, announcing the news on Facebook with the statement:
Important pizza-related announcement: the rumors are true...tonight is our last night of service in Fairview. We gave it a good run here in the great white north, but the time has come to let the fire in the oven die down. We’d love it if you still came out to get your Cane Rosso fix at any of our other 5 locations across DFW, and we thank you very much for the past 5 years.
Here’s the Facebook message that Cane Rosso Fairview posted:
CultureMap Dallas notes that Cane Rosso owner Jay Jerrier explained in the comments on Facebook that the lease for the space was coming up and the business had no plans to renew “the lease for another 5 years.”
This is the first Cane Rosso closure in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The pizzeria recently shut down one of its Houston locations, closing its Montrose outpost at the end of 2018.
