Three Dallas Restaurant Openings Diners Need to Know

Find ramen, tacos, burgers, and more at these newly-opened eateries

Dallas is home to literally hundreds of restaurants, and there’s a new spot that opens (practically) every day. It’s tough to keep up with every single new eatery that’s debuted in recent weeks, but here’s three brand new openings to know about right now.

Jinya Ramen Bar

This Tokyo-based ramen shop’s first Dallas outpost has officially opened its doors in Victory Park. Expect a truly massive selection of ramen options, including 13 different signature bowls made with five different types of broth. There are also a variety of noodle options, 20 different toppings, and meat-free bowls like the spicy creamy vegan ramen, which involves tofu and thick-cut noodles in a decadent sauce.

Traditional tonkatsu and shoyu broths are also on offer, and can be garnished with everything from seaweed to seasoned egg and spicy sauces. In addition to the noodles, find small plates like steam buns and mini tacos served in crispy wonton shells.

Tacolingo

Not too far away from Victory Park, Tacolingo brings a brand new option for tacos and margaritas to the neighborhood. The restaurant announced its March 26 debut on Facebook, and is now slinging dishes like Buffalo chicken tacos, ceviche, and fajita boards served with sizzling wagyu skirt steak, grilled chicken, shrimp, and more. On the boozy side of the menu, find cocktails like the Bourbon Burro (bourbon, smoked agave, ginger, and sparkling water) and a margarita made with “elotes cordial” and fresh pineapple juice.

SkinnyFats

With a cringeworthy name and a menu that offers both decadent and “healthy” dishes, Las Vegas export SkinnyFats has made its debut in Uptown Dallas at 3700 McKinney Avenue. In addition to tacos, sandwiches, burgers, and soups, SkinnyFats also serves breakfast dishes like protein waffles covered in strawberry chia jam, avocado toast, and the “Wake N’ Bacon” breakfast sandwich, topped with bacon, egg, sriracha cream cheese, and served on a Hawaiian roll.
