Heim Barbecue’s second location promises to be worth the wait. The Fort Worth smoked meat favorite announced in February that it would expand with a new restaurant in Fort Worth’s River District this spring that was two years in the making. Now there’s an opening date for the new outpost, nicknamed “Heim on the River.”
The second Heim Barbecue is slated to open up on Tuesday, April 16. Fans of the restaurant’s bacon burnt ends will be happy to know that the new location will serve up more barbecue, thanks to eight smokers on location. There’s going to be plenty of seating and parking too, with a full-service bar, covered patio, and an outdoor beer garden in the works.
In addition to prime brisket, twice baked potato salad, and the restaurant’s HEIMBurger, new menu items will include sausages, pulled pork tacos with brisket-fat tortillas, and hand pies. At the bar, drinkers can choose between cocktails, 24 beers on draft, wine, and frose.
Find Heim on the River at 5333 White Settlement Road, with opening hours from Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight. The restaurant will be closed on Mondays.
