Miriam Cocina Latina is now open across from Klyde Warren Park in the space formerly occupied by LARK on the Park. The Mexican eatery comes from the minds of restaurateur Shannon Wynne of Rodeo Goat and Flying Fish and Miriam Jimenez, a veteran of the restaurant scene who met Wynne in the kitchens of iconic spots Mesero and Mr. Mesero.

On the menu, find lots of margarita choices, sangria, and an Oaxaca Old-Fashioned. To eat, there are dishes like ceviche with tiger shrimp, Poblanas enchiladas, carnitas Michoacan, and chicken with poblano mole, along with combination platters so diners can try a bit of everything. The look of the new restaurant is equally colorful, with artwork by local artist Brent Hale and The Miles Sisters and a big ceiling mural.

“Opening Miriam Cocina Latina is the most exciting and rewarding experience in my life. I’m excited to dedicate myself to the food and hospitality industry I love,” Jimenez said in a press release. “Guests can expect exotic flavors and zingy cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere with a friendly and knowledgable staff.”
