Over-the-top restaurant Circo reportedly closes in Uptown

The Dallas Observer reports that Circo served its last meal Sunday, detailing claims of bounced paychecks, extensive turnover, liens, noise complaints, and “unending chaos.” The publication talked to 10 former Circo employees and contractors along with Circo TX CEO Lauren Santagati to compile the report. This is just a few months after the restaurant opened glitzy “day resort” Circo Beach.

Expo Park is getting a new whiskey bar

Whiskeys will open at 835 Exposition Ave. in the space that was once Fallout Lounge long ago, reports D Magazine. The place is getting a $90,000 facelift, with rare whiskeys at the bar.

Louis King BBQ closed on Greenville Avenue after only six months, but the Dallas Observer is checking out the barbecue spot that opened in its place. James Reed of Stiky Ribz ended up opening up in just three weeks.
