La Casita Bakeshop will pop-up this weekend at Parks Coffee

CultureMap Dallas notes that La Casita Bakeshop will bring its croissants to a pop-up on Saturday, June 29 at Parks Coffee at 1421 MacArthur Drive. According to Facebook, the pop-up will be stocked with cruffins (a croissant/muffin mashup) in flavors like churro, cannoli or peaches and cream, croissant loaves, and tarts topped with squash blossoms, Mexican street corn, and pear walnut.

Funky Picnic Brewery is open in Fort Worth

The Dallas Observer reports on the newest brewery in Fort Worth’s beer district: Funky Picnic, which serves sandwiches and salads in addition to brews. The brewery boasts an industrial look with a cozy seating area.
