Beloved Dallas dumpling destination plots a second outpost
East Dallas’s Hello Dumpling is headed to the Hill. According to a press release, the beloved restaurant will open a second outpost inside the development at the intersection of Walnut Hill and North Central Expressway by the end of the year, bringing its perfect pork dumplings, noodle bowls, and boba teas to the Hill.
Lower Greenville has a new rooftop drinking destination
Eastside Social, Lower Greenville’s newest spot for sipping cocktails on a rooftop patio, has arrived. The rooftop bar has officially taken over the space at 1928 Greenville Avenue, formerly home to beloved Afghan restaurant Nora, according to CultureMap, and a downstairs restaurant is set to follow later this summer. Expect food like fried pickles and Nashville hot chicken wings, frozen cocktails, and snow cones spiked with tequila, vodka, or rum.
Much-anticipated Oak Cliff ramen spot nears opening date
It looks like chef Justin Holt’s much-anticipated ramen restaurant Salaryman is preparing for its debut. The restaurant hosted a “mock service” over the weekend, inviting 45 guests via Instagram, and those spots were snapped up quickly. Those lucky enough to score a seat sampled a variety of grilled meats on skewers, ramen, and Mexican vanilla ice cream.
