Fast casual roast beef sandwich shop Top Round is plotting a comeback in DFW with a brand new outpost that’s set to open in East Dallas this weekend.

The California-born chain will open the doors to a location at 4800 Bryan Street on Saturday, August 3, according to a press release. Top Round’s first location at Irving’s Toyota Music Factory development only stayed open for about a year before shuttering in March, which isn’t necessarily indicative of how much Dallas diners really liked Top Round’s sandwiches considering the issues at Toyota Music Factory, including abrupt, high-profile closures and accusations of racism at the development.

Founded in 2013 in Los Angeles, Top Round’s marquee offering is its Angus beef, which is slow-roasted at the restaurant for ten hours every day. That beef is tucked into sandwiches doused in melty cheddar “cheese wizz” and toppings like caramelized onions and roasted mushrooms. Chicken sandwiches, burgers, and vegetarian options like Buffalo-sauced cauliflower are also on the menu, along with custard-based milkshakes in flavors like banana cream pie and pistachio.

When it opens on August 3, Top Round will sling sandwiches daily from 11 a.m. to midnight.
