This weekend, pickle-flavored beer will hit DFW thanks to a mashup between pickle giant Best Maid Pickles and a neighboring Fort Worth brewery.

The collab between Martin House Brewing Company and Best Maid was born out of their proximity to one another (only 3 miles), according to GuideLive. Martin House’s new Sour Pickle Beer was created by spiking its Salty Lady brew with Best Maid pickle juice. The brew house has already road-tested pickle-juice spiked suds at its yearly Sour Fest beer event, and reportedly the mashup has become a crowd favorite, a company rep tells GuideLive. In an interesting twist, Best Maid returned the volley by incorporating Salty Lady’s flavors into its brine by using salt, lemon, and coriander, rather than alcohol.

The pickle-infused brews and beer-flavored pickles will be unveiled this Saturday, August 17 at Martin House Brewing Co. from 12 to 5 p.m. Tickets to the event cost $12 and include a pint glass and four 8-ounce pours. Otherwise, the specialty brew will be available on draft and in cans throughout DFW later this month, while the pickles will be available on Best Maid’s website.
