This week, a Dallas strip club employed a unique marketing strategy to lure patrons to pay its entry fee: giving away free Popeyes chicken sandwiches.
A post to Aces of Dallas’s Instagram account boasts that anyone who pays the club’s entry fee is entitled to a free chicken sandwich from Popeyes, and that’s arguably the easiest way to get your hands on one of the virally popular sandwiches. As anyone who’s tried to score the now-elusive entree, many Dallas outposts of Popeyes are completely sold out of the fried chicken sandwich thanks to its viral success on social media.
As proof of their commitment, Aces of Dallas posted a shout-out to delivery company Favor, who dropped off 100 of the sandwiches at the club on Thursday night, where they were handed out on a “first come, first serve” basis. It’s unclear which location of Popeyes actually had 100 chicken sandwiches in stock to sell to Aces of Dallas. Especially considering that, according to GuideLive, some restaurants in the city have been limiting customers to one sandwich each.
