Whippersnapper will bring a Harry Potter-obsessed pop-up bar to Knox-Henderson this month following the success of its Family Guy-themed overhaul in January.
Whippersnapper, located at 1806 McMillan Avenue, will reopen this week as The Leaky Cauldron from the Harry Potter series of books, featuring a “nearly identical exterior façade and interior design as the original,” according to a press release. For those who don’t know, The Leaky Cauldron is a fictional pub and inn for wizards, which serves as a gateway between the non-wizarding world and the wizards-only Diagon Alley in London’s West End.
In Dallas, The Leaky Cauldron will feature themed drinks, photo ops, nightly entertainment, and more Harry Potter additions, according to a press release. “So many people came out for The Drunken Clam, we looked to have another idea for August. After going through a couple of options everyone was set on The Leaky Cauldron,” said Phil Schanbaum, partner of This and That Hospitality which owns Whippersnapper in addition to High Fives, Tiny Victories, The Whip, Ferris Wheelers, and Dibs on Victory.
The Leaky Cauldron will run from August 8 to September 7. Operating hours are Wednesday through Saturday 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
