It looks like cult-favorite boba tea shop Tiger Sugar has plans to bring its third U.S. location to Carrollton, following the wildly popular shop’s debuts in New York City and Los Angeles.
A job posting on Indeed indicates that Tiger Sugar has plans for a Carrollton location, though no address or opening timeline for that outpost has been made public just yet. According to Eater New York, the Taiwan-born chain was founded in 2017 and has since opened more than 40 outposts across the globe, including shops in Malaysia, China, Thailand, Canada, and the Philippines. As for the U.S., additional locations are currently in the works in San Diego and Las Vegas.
While the menu may look much like that at any other boba tea shop, Tiger Sugar has earned Instagram fame thanks to its “tiger stripe” milk tea lattes crowned with cream mousse, which are named for the dramatic-looking “stripes” of caramelized brown sugar syrup that paint the inside of each cup.
No word yet on when Tiger Sugar will make its DFW debut, but it is “urgently hiring” servers and supervisors for its Carrollton outpost. Stay tuned for more details.
