After nearly five years of slinging top-notch boiled crawfish at its duo of DFW locations, Tasty Tails is working on a new outpost in Addison.
Co-owner Khanh Tran tells Eater that the fledgling local chain’s third local outpost is currently under construction at 4950 Belt Line Road, Suite 190A. When it’s ready to open, this Tasty Tails restaurant will join outposts in Plano and Richardson, the former of which is a stalwart on Eater’s map of essential crawfish spots.
In Addison, Tasty Tails will lean harder into its New Orleans roots with a full-scale daiquiri bar and classic Cajun dishes. “We are originally from New Orleans so we are going to bring the essence and spirit of the city to our new location,” Tran says.
Apparently, Cajun cuisine is trending in Addison. The news of Tasty Tails’s expansion comes just days after the debut of Red Crab, an East Coast chain that’s known for its Cajun seafood. Also relatively new to the neighborhood is a similar spot called Cajun Crawfish, and laid-back, all-day eatery Swamp Cafe. And of course, there’s Nate’s, which has been slinging blackened redfish and fried shrimp baskets in Addison since 1988.
Stay tuned for more details on when Tasty Tails will open in Addison.
