Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, one of Florida’s go-to ways to cool off, is en route to Dallas. A local franchisee just inked a deal to open three area sites, with the first debuting in McKinney later this year.

The Sunshine State chain boasts a dizzying amount of flavors (40) to choose from, made with a mix of creamy Italian ice and its rich soft serve ice cream. The 23-year-old brand encourages customers to linger until they land on a chosen flavor (there’s an unlimited free sample policy).

Offerings swing from fruity (mango, strawberry-lemon) to decadent (pumpkin pie), with a cult mint chocolate chip recipe trademarked as “Scoop Froggy Frog.”

Jeremiah’s has a whopping 23 locations sprinkled across Florida, and its decision to start franchising in 2019 means more Southeastern states will soon get a taste of the icy enterprise.

Expect up to 10 locations to pop up in Texas over the next few years. Jeremiah’s has sold additional units to franchisees in Cedar Park, Leander, Austin and Temple, Texas.

“I look forward to introducing Texans to an exciting, new product that they may not be familiar with,” says its eponymous CEO and founder Jeremy Litwack, in a statement. “You can’t find real Italian Ice in Texas – yet.”
