In what may be one of the more odd dining stories of 2020, rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is headed to a spendy North Dallas restaurant for a cognac-drenched dinner next month.
On March 9, Jackson will take over Chamberlain’s Steak and Chop House in Addison for a pricey dinner showing off his Le Chemin du Roi Champagne and Branson cognac, both of which will be paired with dishes created by chef Richard Chamberlain. Before the event kicks off, diners will be able to take selfies with the “In Da Club” rapper while dining on appetizers.
As far as the menu is concerned, diners can look forward to options like cavatelli with pheasant and duck sausage, and a 40-day dry-aged Prime New York strip that’s (of course) topped with a cognac peppercorn sauce.
But, of course, mingling with a celeb like 50 Cent doesn’t come cheap. The 4-course dinner is priced at $195, and includes cocktail pairings made with Branson cognac. There’s also plans for a cooking demonstration involving Chamberlain and 50 Cent, which might actually be interesting enough to justify the price tag.
