Tiger Sugar announces an opening date
Just weeks after Eater reported that Tiger Sugar, a Taiwanese boba tea chain known for its caramelized brown sugar drinks, would open in Carrollton, the chain’s first DFW outpost has announced an opening date. Per a Facebook page created for Tiger Sugar’s location at 2625 Old Denton Road, it’s set to debut on March 7. Don’t be surprised to see lines and tons of iPhone-wielding Instagrammers on opening day.

A stoner-themed sandwich shop heads to Deep Ellum
Cheba Hut, a Colorado-based sandwich shop with a stoner-friendly theme, will open its first Dallas outpost in 2020. Per CultureMap, the restaurant is set to make its debut at 2808 Main Street in the coming months, bringing a destination for sandwiches named after weed strains (Silver Haze, Chronic) and cocktails like the Hash Can, a Red Bull-spiked Long Island iced tea.
NYC macaron shop Woops! expands to DFW
Tiny macaron destination Woops! has opened its first DFW outpost. According to the Dallas Morning News, the shop made its debut at the end of January inside the Galleria mall, near the ice skating rink. In addition to the shop’s famed macarons, look forward to Liege-style waffles, croissants, coffee drinks, and more snacks.
