Guy Fieri will open a restaurant at Choctaw Casino & Resort

Platinum blonde Food Network chef Guy Fieri has been known to visit the Dallas area to showcase restaurants for his shows Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and Triple D Nation. He’s also fond of opening restaurants in the area, most recently with Guy’s Taco Joint at Texas Live! and Guy’s Burger Joint. Now CultureMap Dallas reports that Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen + Bar will open at the Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant, serving up comfort food like a “bacon mac-N-cheese” burger and “trashcan nachos.” The slated opening date is this April.

Snag a reservation for Yardbird

The date for the highly anticipated chain Yardbird Southern Table & Bar’s arrival in Dallas was moved back, the Dallas Observer reports, but reservations are now available online for Dallas diners who want to check it out as soon as it opens.

Dallas’ first Filipino Food Festival is happening on March 8 at Four Corners Brewing Company, and the Dallas Morning News interviews all the chefs who will be there, offering sweets like ice cream and bibingka cupcakes or savory options like lumpia with pineapple chili sauce.
