The State Fair of Texas may be cancelled for 2020, but fair enthusiasts will still be able to get their hands on their favorite fried foods from the annual event via drive-thru this fall.

Kicking off on September 19, the Big Tex Fair Food Drive-Thru will allow fairgoers to score Fletcher’s Corny Dogs, fried Oreos, kettle corn, and more State Fair favorite without ever getting out of their cars. Multiple packages are available, starting at $65, and include everything from a professional photo with State Fair icon Big Tex to sodas, cotton candy, and even a prize from the midway games.

Smokey John’s turkey legs, Sweet Connie’s corn on the cob, and more snacks will be available as add-ons to the food packages.

Because the COVID-19 pandemic is still a thing, fairgoers won’t be able to get out of their cars during the drive-thru experience unless they need to go to the bathroom or have paid to pose for a photo with Big Tex. When folks are out of their cars, six feet of social distancing is required between parties. Visitors are also required to wear face masks while picking up food from vendors, even if they’re sitting in their cars.

The Big Tex Fair Food Experience will kick off on September 19, with plans to operate Friday through Sunday throughout October 12, which is when the State Fair of Texas would normally conclude. Tickets for the event go on sale on September 2 at 10 a.m., and don’t be shocked if they sell out quickly.
