Chinese Boba Chain Happy Lemon Will Soon Bring Its Cheese Teas to Richardson

Happy Lemon, the Chinese boba company know for its salted cheese drinks and super-cute branding, will soon be headed to Richardson.

The chain, which serves up bubble teas, ultra fruity smoothies and slushes, and bubble waffles, has announced at least four locations for the Lone Star State, including one at 169 North Plano Road in Richardson. The opening date for that store has not yet been announced, but the brand is teasing its Texas launch on Instagram and Facebook.

The massive franchise was first founded in China in 2006 and now has more than 1500 locations worldwide, including in Taiwan, the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, Canada and the United States, particularly the West Coast. The shop is known for its wide variety of ultra-fruity drinks in flavors like citrus, melon and berry. In addition to boba, Happy Lemon sells smoothies and fruity slushes in flavors like mango lemon, and cheese teas, which are finished with a thick cheesecake-like topping that can be either sweet or salted. They also offer bubble waffles in flavors like matcha and Oreo cookie.

Other locations are slated for Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Stay tuned for an opening date for the Richardson cafe.
