One of NYC’s most-hyped ice cream shops will open up an outpost in Dallas. CultureMap Dallas reports that Van Leeuwen will move into the space at 3699 McKinney Avenue in West Village, formerly occupied by Paciugo Gelato. The plan is to open up the Van Leeuwen Dallas shop by early 2022.
Van Leeuwen is known for its obsession with simple ingredients and fancy flavors like honeycomb or bourbon cherries jubilee. The brand made waves this summer with a limited-edition Kraft Mac and Cheese ice cream, which turned out to be surprisingly good.

The grand opening happened on Thursday, October 28 at 5290 Belt Line Road, Suite 112B. Jeni’s, known for flavors like brambleberry crisp and pumpkin cake roll, opened its first Dallas location in Deep Ellum earlier this year.
