After years of delays and legal drama, Nusret “Salt Bae” Gökçe has officially announced that his opulent Dallas steakhouse will finally open its doors.
Eater reported on Monday that the restaurant would make its long-awaited debut this week, and Gökçe confirmed in an Instagram story on Tuesday evening that Nusr-Et Steakhouse is now accepting reservations for Thursday, May 4 via phone. In addition to shots of the stunning, lavish space and a behind-the-scenes glimpse at staff training at Nusr-Et, Gokce shared this glorious photo of himself standing out in a wheat field to announce the big news.

Shortly after the announcement went live, Gökçe claimed that the phones were flooded with reservations. When Eater called the number listed in Gokce’s Instagram story on Tuesday night, we were connected to the Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Miami, where a representative said that the restaurant still had a few available reservations for Thursday night.
As previously reported by Eater, Nusr-Et Steakhouse’s Dallas debut has been beset by numerous delays and legal battles. The restaurant’s debut has been pushed back at least three times since November, and is currently embroiled in a pair of lawsuits related to alleged debts from the construction of the restaurant space.
Considering the hype surrounding Gökçe and his signature beef-salting technique, expect reservations at Nusr-Et Steakhouse to be difficult to score in the coming days. For more details and to make reservations, contact the restaurant at 305-415-9990.
