Local fans of Piroshky Piroshky Bakery won’t have to travel to Seattle for a taste of pastries like cinnamon and cardamom braid or smoked wild salmon piroshky. The perpetually packed Russian bakery in Seattle’s Pike Place Market will pop up next month for one day only in Fort Worth.
If the name sounds familiar, it might be based on an appearance on an episode of Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations.” This pop-up is part of Piroshky Piroshky Bakery’s nationwide tour, bringing sweet and savory buns to cities across the country (Austin is the only other Texas stop on the tour.) Get ready to get orders in for the Fort Worth pop-up on February 11: the order deadline is February 10 at 9 a.m. (select “preorder events” and the appropriate Texas date).
Find Piroshky Piroshky Bakery’s Fort Worth pickup location at 220 S Sylvania Avenue from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on February 11. Shoppers must order at least $50 of pastries, which should be easy to rack up with best-sellers like chocolate cream hazelnut rolls and chicken pot pie piroshky.
