Alamo Drafthouse is undergoing a big expansion push, adding seven new theaters across the country — including one in DFW. According to a press release, a new Grand Prairie location will open in early 2024, joining Alamo Drafthouse’s six other DFW metroplex theaters. The indie movie house born in Austin is famous for its dine-in meal service, including film-inspired menus.
The new 10-screen Alamo Drafthouse is from franchise partner Alamo Grand Prairie Bardin, LLC, and it’s going to have fancy features like 66-feet wide curved screens, luxury recliners, and high-tech surround sound. The theatre will also boast its own full-service bar with craft cocktails, wine, and local beers on tap.
The past two years have been a tough ride for Alamo Drafthouse, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2021 and underwent a restructuring.
The Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival will be back this spring

One big event at the festival will be a collaborative dinner between Four Sisters chef Tuan Pham and Houston’s Chris Shepherd of Underbelly fame.
