Caterina’s: Chef Tim Love opens his latest in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Billed as an “ode to timeless Italian-American dining,” the menu includes classic dishes such as coniglio served braised en agrodolce, golden raisins, and pine nuts; spicy roasted chicken with whipped ricotta); and, veal chop served with parmesan, mozzarella, and marinara. (128 E. Exchange Ave., Suite 620, Fort Worth, open for dinner Sunday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.)

Rodeo Goat: Big burgers come to Casa Linda Plaza. Taking the former spot of the Highland Park Cafeteria, Rodeo Goat has opened up in East Dallas. And yes, of course, there’s a patio. In about two months, you’ll be able to sit on it comfortably. (1200 N. Buckner Blvd., open Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.)

Curry Up Now: Indian fast casual comes to the Grandscape in The Colony as San Francisco-based Curry Up Now opens. This food truck has grown into a brick and mortar with locations in five states — this is its first DFW location. Enjoy Indian street food, including various kinds of chaat, naan bits, samosas, and curry bowls. The location also features a cocktail bar and two dog-friendly patios. (5752 Grandscape Boulevard, Suite 310. Open Sunday to Thursday from noon to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m.)

Sushi Mocki: Mockingbird Station welcomes a new sushi spot. In addition to rolls, maki, and Nigiri-style sushi, it features happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday. (5321 E. Mockingbird Ln., Suite 130. Open Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.)

The Branca Room: Find this speakeasy inside Chimichurri in Bishop Arts. It’s intimate (read: small) and serves a relatively extensive menu of 12 signature cocktails, focusing on developing housemade Fernet-Branca. Once a month, it will host bourbon nights aimed at whiskey lovers. (324 W 7th Street. Open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.)

Atípico: DFW gets the first U.S. location of this Mexico City-based fast-casual chain — and its U.S. flagship. It’s about “creative” dishes that touch on various cuisines and preferences (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and more). (2300 N Field St. Open Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.)

Brentwood: Welcome to the Metroplex, another Vandelay Hospitality (Hudson House, Drake’s, East Hampton Sandwich Co., Lucky’s Chicken, and more) restaurant. This one is all dark wood, banquettes, and American fare in that area where they store all the restaurants in Far North Dallas. (5318 Belt Line Road)

Lucky’s Chicken: One more location opens on Webb Chapel in Farmer’s Branch, which means one more place to get a plate of Nashville-style hot chicken. Two more, in Oak Lawn and Richardson, will follow before summer is over. (3106 Forest Ln.)

Stepchild: Chef Misti Norris helms a limited-time pop-up on the second floor of Exchange Hall. The menu of Acadian and French-inspired food is limited and inventive. (211 S. Akard St.)

Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen: Up in Allen, this McKinney-based restaurant opens a second location at Watters Creek. The modern American menu includes fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, Gulf scallops, chicken pot pie, and mac and cheese with bacon that’s delectable. (968 Village Green Dr, Allen, TX 75013. Open Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.)

Goodbye Horses: SMU gets a proper dive bar with burgers, beer, and booze. Coming to the menu: Rhode Island-style pizza, a rectangular tray of cooked dough with a thicker tomato sauce than usual. (5629 SMU Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75206. Open Sunday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.)

The Reserve: This Mexican chain opens a new location in Las Colinas, styled after Taxco — the region of Mexico from which co-owner Monica Reza hails. It’s always good to know where your next bowl of queso fundido comes from. (5910 N MacArthur Blvd., Suite 121. Open Sunday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight.)

Onēsan Dim Sum Sushi: Serving Asian small plates, sushi, and cocktails in North Dallas, find Korean, Chinese, and Cantonese foods on this menu. (12300 Inwood Rd., Suite 180. Open Tuesday to Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m.)

Thirsty Lion Gastropub: A new outpost at Grandscape in The Colony is now open, the third in DFW. This one is monstrously large, with two floors, 6,996 square feet of patio space, and neat lawn games, including cornhole and Jenga. (5754 Grandscape Blvd., Suite 205. Open Sunday to Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Thursday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.)

Sky Blu Rooftop Bar: In Dallas’s Design District, another spot with amazing views is now open. Sky Blu has floor-to-ceiling windows, so everywhere you sit has a view, and it sits on top of the Tru by Hilton Dallas Market Center. (1949 N Stemmons Fwy.)

Douglas Bar and Grill: Open and serving up barbecue in Snider Plaza, it is focused on cultivating a lunch crowd with smoked meats but offers a dinner menu with steak and pork chop entrees. (6818 Snider Plaza, open Tues to Thurs, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations available by calling or texting (214) 205-5888.)

Tatsu: This 10-seat omakase sushi restaurant in Deep Ellum serves from a chef’s menu, so there is no menu — each day’s meal is unique and based on what is fresh and available. (3309 Elm St., open Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations are required via Tock.)

Paris Coffee House: One of Fort Worth’s oldest locations reopened after renovations. The diner has been in operation for 95 years. (704 W Magnolia Ave., open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. all week.)

Mi Cocina: The new location in Uptown is its biggest yet, with a massive patio and holds a second-story bar called Seis Segundos. (3232 McKinney Ave., open Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations are available by calling (214) 600-8044.

Ober Here: This Filipino rice bowl restaurant started as a food truck and has moved into a fast-casual location in Fort Worth’s restaurant row. (1229 Eighth Ave., open Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.)

District: This neighborhood bistro is imported from San Franciso, and the North Dallas location is its first Texas outpost. It serves globally inspired plates and has an extensive whiskey and wine bar. (5100 Belt Line Road, Suite 544, open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight. Reservations are available on Resy.)
