After some 8 inches of rain dumped all over Dallas and Forth Worth on Monday, August 22, restaurants all over town are reporting damage and closures.
In Deep Ellum, Cane Rosso posted a video to Instagram of water pouring into the restaurant. “Welp, Cane Rosso Deep Ellum will be open for to-go or delivery only while we get this fixed,” it’s captioned.
That Instagram post was followed by an update that it is open again after some clean up.
Also in Deep Ellum, the Dallas Morning News reported that Local and Adair’s Saloon reported flooding and some damage.
Bbbop Seoul Kitchen in Bishop Arts took to Instagram to urge customers to order takeout only for the day while it faced “challenges” with the rain and new construction around the restaurant. Eater Dallas reached out to find out if it is open for service, an outgoing message suggested diners should continue to order online only.
Nearby in Oak Cliff, Xaman Cafe also shared an Instagram of the flooded interiors of the restaurant with news that it will be closed until further notice.
In Far North Dallas, Cris and John posted on Instagram that it will be closed to diners on Tuesday due to “weather damage in our dining room.” The post urged customers to order to go instead and advised that the full menu will be available.
