12 Places to Snack on Elotes in Dallas

View as Map

Elotes are the quintessential Dallas street food. Stands all over the city, usually outside gas stations and taquerias, make the delicious, fattening treat of corn, crema, cheese, butter, and hot sauce right before hungry customers' eyes, some augmenting it with lemon pepper or a squeeze of lime. Several restaurants are also offering slightly fancier versions these days, but whether it's served on a real plate or in a humble Styrofoam cup, it's practically always worth the calories. Here's a map of a dozen places to get your elotes fix.
