Whether you consider it a fad or a way of life, gluten-free is without a doubt one of the biggest trends in dining right now. While it can certainly be annoying watching your tablemates chow down on pizza and sandwiches while you pick at a salad, there are plenty of places in Dallas to eat well without all the gluten. Here are 12 places with solid gluten-free options, whether you're allergic or just an obsessive low-carber. (Of course, if you have a serious allergy, be sure to inquire about the kitchen situation; some restaurants don't have the ability to keep gluten-free items isolated from things that could contain gluten.)

For a reasonably quick lunch on the go, Beck's Prime has some tasty gluten-free options like the Kitchen Sink: a burger patty topped with Swiss cheese and bacon and flanked by sauteed onions, a generous portion of guacamole, lettuce and tomato for a sort of build-your-own salad concoction. (Of course, you can also opt for a big-ass steak with a side of grilled vegetables.)
