After starting as a food trailer in Austin, this very family-friendly chain has locations in Allen, Coppell, Keller, Little Elm, Mansfield, McKinney, Rowlett, Sachse, Roanoke, Richardson Dallas. it boasts a small-but-mighty menu of burgers, or “hats” as the restaurant refers to them, plus fries, salads, and a good number of milkshakes. Each restaurant is different, but they all have a killer playground for the kids. Pro tip: Tuesday nights starting at 5:00 p.m. combos are $2 off and kids meals are $1 off.

Vector Brewing in Lake Highlands is a great spot to eat pizza and drink beers on the patio with the family. The brewery also regularly hosts movie nights in the Lakeridge Village shopping center, and as it turns out, eating pizza, drinking a beer in your open trunk and watching an 80’s flick on the big screen is totally cool this summer.
