City Tavern

This downtown drinking staple hardly ever closes, and Christmas is no exception. A Dirty Dusty (a shot of Jack and a PBR chaser) will quell all thoughts of the ugly socks your aunt bought you.

Double Wide

Stop in between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. for a Yoohoo Yeehaw. There's also a winter-appropriate hot version called the Thin Mint that's spiked with Rumplemintz and whipped cream.

Meddlesome Moth

This Design District gastropub will open at 5 p.m. to serve all of their gazillion or so craft beers on tap.

The Old Monk

This Henderson Avenue standby opens at 8 p.m. The kitchen will also be open until midnight; Santa would approve of the pistachio-crusted chicken strips.

Ships Lounge

Ships Lounge will be open on Christmas Day as usual — bright and early at 10 a.m., in case you for some reason need to drink before you open presents.

Windmill Lounge

The Windmill's awesome cocktails and great jukebox make for a very merry Christmas indeed. The bar will also host a curry pop-up by Lucia sous chef Justin Holt starting at 10 p.m. with free food for all you heathens.

The Blind Butcher

Blind Butcher opens at 7 p.m. on Christmas, but the kitchen will be closed — so you'll have to wait till Friday to get your sausage and poutine fix.

Green Door Public House

This farmers market bar from the Uncle Uber's owners will be open 5 p.m.-2 a.m., whether you're craving a local craft beer on tap or something a little fancier, like a sloe gin fizz or a Moscow Mule.

Lakewood Landing

The delightfully dark and divey Lakewood standby will open at 8 p.m. on Christmas to pour you a very stiff drink.
