Let out those sighs of relief, folks. The Eater 38 has returned with a quarterly update. For the uninitiated, this is a thorough map that is meant to help answer that age-old question "Can you recommend a restaurant ...?"
As with the previous 38s, there are some changes: In with past omissions, newer spots and deserving longtime performers. Out with some expected, tired or transitioning (that may mean closed for renovations or until further notice or in the middle of a chef change-up). Just don't fret, because all the 'hoods are covered, as are dietary preferences (yes, even gluten-free) and, naturally, old favorites: burgers, Tex-Mex, handmade Italian and more.
IN: Local, Oak, Company Cafe, Bijoux
OUT: Neighborhood Services Tavern, Eno's Pizza Tavern, Lonesome Dove, Peggy Sue BBQ
Don't see your favorite restaurant on the list? Well, put away your blow darts, be productive and nominate it for inclusion. State your cases for (or against) restaurants in the comments or in the tipline. Remember the rules: restaurants must have been open for six months and generally shouldn't be classified as "fine dining."
